Job Description

Junior Project Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery, production equipment, tooling and other machinery based in the Tamworth area.Junior Project Engineer Position Overview

  • Manipulate designs using SolidWorks
  • Create BOMs
  • Support full lifecycle projects
  • Process Improvement
  • Liaison between Design and Manufacturing Departments
  • Liaise with suppliers to understand delivery dates
  • Kitting Project parts
  • Procurement of Project material / components
  • Work with Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Junior Project Engineer Position Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in an engineering environment (particularly Machine Shop, Toolroom, Assembly)
  • Understanding of technical principles
  • Experience of providing quotations, estimates, or procurement
  • Able to effectively deal with multiple priorities to achieve the most efficient outcomes whilst remaining focused on customer expectations
  • Adept at utilising business management systems including databases, ERP, and spreadsheets.
  • (Microsoft and google systems)
  • Operated in a commercial environment, with a track record of developing key customer relationships.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • The ability to self motivate as an individual and at team level.
  • A pro-active and creative approach to problem solving.
Junior Project Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Full time - Permanent
  • 40 hour week (Mon-Fri - 08:00am-16:30pm).
  • Salary £28,000 - £32,000 (Dependent upon Experience)
  • 28 Days Holiday Inc. Bank Holidays
  • Pension
