Job Description

Export/ Logistics Administrator£32,000 - £35,000 DOE + Benefits + BonusTamworthDays Only (Mon-Fri)gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Export / Logistics Administrator to work at their facility based near TamworthPerformance Objectives

  • Overall responsibility for the export compliance
  • Function as an expert resource to UK Operations in the areas of export transactions, policies, and procedures with a strategic focus to streamline efficiencies and utilize emerging tools and technologies with a focus on customer satisfaction and cost containmentwhile ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and deliver an ongoing, tailored training program that includes but is not limited to export control and technology, Corporate Trade Standards, general awareness, risk identification, and escalation. Personally conduct training as required.
  • Develop and maintain a country specific export matrix to include classifications, license requirements and shipment restrictions, including leading an UK reclassification project. Coordinate with the Global Trade Compliance for division wide visibility.
  • Conduct periodic internal and external compliance assessments of UK facilities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures and compliance of all activities and transactions with the appropriate export laws and recordkeeping including completion of Auditand Self-Assessment Program. Coordinate with Management on issues, opportunities, recommended solutions, and project plans.
  • Review and process picking tickets when returned from the warehouse, ensuring packing details are correct.
  • Prepare all shipping documentations, including commercial invoices.
  • Liaise with external freight forwarders and manage outbound deliveries.
  • Request export clearances for FCA shipments and preparation of T1 documents for DAP shipments
Person Specification
  • Minimum three (3) - five (5) years of experience in an export compliance or similar government role.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding and experience assigning export control classification (ECN, ML, ITAR a plus).
  • Experience with European Customs Authorities, international logistics and Customs broker management.
  • Demonstrates outstanding integrity and accountability; and
  • Solid computer skills: MS Office Suite and experience with a GTM system a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace and/or defense industry experience (or other highly regulated industry)
  • English required. French, Spanish and/or Italian is a plus
