Job Description

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, dynamic organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business as a Technical Support Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. Summary You will be providing support as part of the UK Technical Support team and providing external product-related support to Sales teams and our customers. An ideal opportunity for someone with an electrical background / qualification or someone who has beenin a similar role previously offering product related technical support to clients and customers.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer enquiries, primarily via telephone and e-mail
  • Giving technical support and guidance with onsite Product issues via telephone with wiring, installation, and electrical issues
  • Resolving customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction, and troubleshooting
  • Communicating with peers and other colleagues via e-mail, chat, telephone, and in-person
  • Possessing competent computer skills including email and Microsoft Office
  • Documenting all technical inquiries
  • Working with the local sales teams to address specific issues for customers
Skills and experience
  • Electrical qualification or background essential
  • Previous experience as a technical support engineer would be beneficial, and/or extensive knowledge of the lighting and wiring accessories industry
  • Good electrical/electronic experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude towards the Company & its products
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A team player but also with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent PC literacy (MS Office packages)
