Assistant Buyer - Consumer ElectronicsWhere: Tamworth (Hybrid Working)Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (Plus Performance-Based Bonuses)Requirements: A keen interest in eCommerce and Gaming is essentialAt least 1 years experience within buying, ideally within eCommerce is desiredThe Client:We at ReCulture, work closely with one of the UKs most exciting, growing and ambitious retailers / eCommerce businesses selling a broad range of gaming electronics.They are one part of the UKs fastest-growing technology and gaming business, meaning the opportunities and growth potential within this company are second to none!Role:This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Buyer who wants to work for a scaling and growing business, with lots of opportunity to progress and grow your career.You will be responsible for contributing to driving revenue and profit for your category through negotiation with suppliers and manufacturers, pricing, promotion, stock management and competitor analysis.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for hitting revenue and margins for category against monthly targets
  • Ensure the category continuously offers a market leading range
  • Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers to ensure the best range, cost, supply and delivery
  • Maintain awareness of market activity to ensure the category is performing as expected.
Skills and Experience:
  • You should have worked as a Buying Assistant or Assistant Buyer with branded products and will have demonstrable experience with supplier negotiation and relationship management.
  • Experience working with a retailer, ideally working within eCommerce
  • Experience working with technology/ consumer electronics is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of consumer behaviour
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
