Main ResponsibilitiesAs the successful candidate, you will report directly to the Production Manager and be responsible for leading a team to manufacture precast tunnel segments.Key Responsibilities:

Delivery of toolbox talks

Manage all aspects of daily production including operational costs and stocks ensuring efficient manufacture and optimum levels of OEE are maintained, driving operational performance through KPI’s

Effectively coach and performance manage all direct reports , embedding core behavioural competencies (the STAR Framework) and a culture aligned to the Tarmac Way which places our values, proud, collaborative and ambitious, at the heart of what we do.

Manage fixed and variable costs.

Manage general housekeeping; ensuring that the highest standards are maintained in accordance with What Good Looks Like (WGLL) and the CRH Lifesaving rules

Role modelling an exemplary approach to Health and Safety, contributing proactively to a safe working environment and working collaboratively to lead a culture of continuous improvement

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working within an Industrial, Factory or the similar environment as a Supervisor.As well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operational and supervisory skills.Specific Requirements:

Working knowledge of HSE / IOSH Managing Safely

Full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems.

NVQ in fixed and mobile plant operations

Willingness to learn and develop an understanding of Precast

Licences (mobile plant)

Manual Handling

Working with Moulds

Good communication skills

Team Leadership
