Job Description

Level 2 Nursery PractitionerLocation: East side of Leeds Company: Veritas EducationThe nursery we are recruiting for is a modern and forward-thinking nursery committed to providing high-quality early years education. Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where children can grow, learn, and develop to their full potential.We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join the team and contribute to the well-being and development of the children in our care.As a Level 2 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in the daily activities and care of our young learners. You will work closely with our experienced team of educators to provide a supportive and engaging environment that promotes childrensphysical, emotional, and cognitive development. Your creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm will help create an atmosphere where children can explore, learn, and thrive.This is a part-time and full-time position dependant on location. Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5, ensuring their well-being at all times.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Assist in the implementation of our contemporary and child-centred curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methods and activities.
  • Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess childrens progress, recording their development and providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
  • Engagement: Engage children in activities that promote physical, social, and intellectual development.
  • Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with parents, keeping them informed about their childs daily activities and progress.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and hygiene of the nursery environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to plan and organize activities, share ideas, and contribute to the overall success of the nursery.
Qualifications:
  • Level 2 Childcare Qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in a nursery or early childhood education setting
  • First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for early childhood education and child development
  • Creativity, patience, and a positive attitude
