Job Description

An established soft furnishings company is looking for an experienced Fabric Cutter to join their friendly team in Tadcaster and help them bring bespoke designs to life.Fabric CutterTadcaster, Leeds, LS24

  • Full Time, Permanent Position
  • £23,000 rising to £26,000 after successful completion of six-month probationary period
  • Flexible working hours available
Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKIncorporated in 2019, our celebrated soft furnishings client are proud to be creating stunning designs and finishing touches for interior designs across the UK and beyond. They produce innovative products using their in-house and highly skilled design anddevelopment team that their customers are proud to display and utilise for years to come.Due to continued success, they are now looking for a Fabric Cutter with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. The role is based within a workroom environment and you will become a pivotal part of a small, supportive team producinghigh quality, bespoke curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings.Responsibilities, Skills and Attributes:You will:
  • Have excellent numeracy/maths skills.
  • Have the ability to interpret measurements and specifications.
  • Have attention for detail, ensuring a high quality of measuring, cutting and workmanship.
  • Be proficient in reading and understanding written instructions.
  • Inspect fabric for defects and liaise with other team member to meet production deadlines.
  • Have at least two years’ experience as a fabric cutter.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working area.
The ability to operate a flatbed sewing machine and good hand sewing skills would be beneficial but not essential as training can be provided.Please Note: from time to time the post holder may be asking to perform other job-related duties in line with business requirements.Working Hours:
  • Monday-Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week, 8am – 4pm (flexible)
