Job Description

Do you have previous experience of Office Management/running various office functions at a timeDo you want to work for a company that values your growth and careerThen this might be the job for you!Due to the continued and exciting growth of one of our clients we are currently recruiting for a Business Support Manager. This role is based in Tadcaster, with hybrid options.Salary is between £40-45k depending on experience. Working Monday to Friday with flexibility on hours where you could condense these over 4 days if you wish.This role is incredibly varied, supporting the Management Team and wider business across many functions and processes, critical for the smooth running of day-to-day operations of the business.Key Responsibilities

  • Data Governance and Cyber Security – Maintaining effective data processing records and updating policies for data governance and cyber security, while managing responses to privacy, data governance, and cyber security questionnaires.
  • Finance Administration and Management – with oversight for Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control.
  • Coordinate Health and Safety activities, maintaining accurate and compliant records.
  • Administer HR processes, ensuring compliance with policies and facilitating internal communications with the parent company.
  • IT Management – coordinating first line support for employees, working in partnership with our third-party IT support company, ensuring SLAs are met and issues resolved effectively.
  • Support Directors in the day-to-day running of the office and facilities, and other administrative support where needed e.g company events, travel etc.
  • Provide general administrative support across the business and manage projects on an ad hoc basis e.g Cyber Security accreditation in partnership with third party suppliers.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Substantial experience in office administration/management, ideally in an SME environment.
  • Strong financial management skills with numeracy and data analysis proficiency preferred but not essential.
  • Proven ability to deliver efficient services and drive process improvement.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, adept at multitasking.
  • IT literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Data Protection, GDPR, data governance, and confidentiality principles.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
  • Proactive and methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and excellent planning skills.
  • Professional approach with a friendly, positive attitude towards internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to evolving processes and proactive approach to new challenges.
  • Assertive and willing to take ownership of tasks, ensuring effective issue resolution.
  • Strong teamwork skills, recognising the integral role of support in daily business operations.
