Job Description

We are looking for a Pricing Manager (Consumer Products) reporting directly to the Marketing Manager.The Pricing Manager (Consumer Products) will add strategic insight, business analytics and decision making, leading to price optimisation by working collaboratively across the business, and driving system and process improvements.This is a key strategic role within the Bridgestone North Europe region (UK & Ireland). The role is based in Warwick (UK) a minimum of two days per week. Relocation costs (national or international) are not included within this role, so applicants shouldbe UK based.Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Consumer Business Unit Director and in collaboration with the Finance team to define our price in accordance to the strategy and the financial goals
  • Control the North Region consumer pricing waterfall and support the commercial Business unit director in coordinating pricing policy
  • Devise and agree rebate conditionality that helps deliver Bridgestone desired results of growing OP.
  • Ensure all pricing is aligned and agreed with European Head Office, and formal written approval is received for any pricing action outside of guidelines
  • Provide sales administration with accurate and timely load files following the Discounts & Rebate management tools and authority schedule guidelines to ensure all pricing is signed off and loaded into SAP.
  • Review Price Variance highlighting to finance any pricing errors in loading and work with finance to report to European Head Office the reasons for any significant deviation.
  • Support rebate accrual and payout management to ensure pricing accuracy at customer and product level.
  • Understand Bridgestone pricing position in the market from a sell in and sell out perspective based on data that adheres to the company policies on competition law
  • Provide North Region input into European List Price changes to ensure competitivity for our market
  • Track FX and ensure UK pricing is in line with policy
  • Devise and implement pricing campaigns as and when required
  • Be pricing representative on any internal/external audits that incorporate pricing
  • Play a leading role in the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts, pricing input and overall business reviews
  • Be a primary project support for regional Pan-EU pricing or business operations projects, and lead change management in the organization
  • Develop new business cases in partnership with the finance team to capitilise on market opportunities
  • Understand market share results and input into potential demand and sales assumptions
  • Support Rebate payout with confirmation of rebate conditionality and qualifying payments
  • Work with sales to verify and check indirect and fleet support including new business proposals
  • Provide information on competitor activity and analyse Bridgestones relative position within the market.
  • Make recommendations for change providing support documentation to Directors and BSEU Management.
  • Monitor Sell Out Pricing and Margin Analysis for North markets. Produce reports so sales team are fully aware of the market moves
  • Ensure all budget figures within relevant software (e.g. BIP in SAP, Business Explorer, Cognos) are correct and entered on time.
  • Own the Go-to-Market process
  • Track FX moves between GBP and Euro and support monthly meeting with data, forecasts and commentary to help the business make the correct decisions
