Job Description

Job PurposeWe are looking for a Commercial Demand Planning & Pricing Analyst reporting directly to the Commercial Demand Planning & Pricing Manager. This is a role based in Warwick, UK.Be a key part of Commercial Operations Team that provides business analytics that lead to informed decision making, price optimisation & maximised availability, through a highly effective team working collaboratively across the business driving system andprocess improvements.Responsibilities:Support management of the demand planning cycle:

  • Produce all required material (including formal schedules) for Annual Budget, Long Term planning and monthly forecasting
  • Ensure the corresponding data and information between the different schedules match each other and are cascaded to the appropriate departments
  • Ensure all budget figures within relevant software (e.g. BIP in SAP, Business Explorer, Cognos) are correct and entered on time
  • Review Forecast accuracy and perform Root Cause Analysis to understand reasons for deviation from forecast
Manage Product Line Up and Information:
  • Be a new product ambassador for North supporting sales and product team in BSEU
  • Maintain Line up for Commercial Price Lists and ensure product line up is managed in SAP
Pricing Analytics:
  • Help sales director and strategy manager set pricing waterfall for North Region
  • Ensure all pricing is aligned and agreed with BSEU and formal written approval is received for any pricing outside of guidelines
  • Provide sales admin with accurate and timely load files following the D&R manager and authority schedule guidelines to ensure all pricing is signed off and loaded into SAP
  • Review Price Variance highlighting to finance any pricing errors in loading and work with BSNOR finance to report to BSEU the reasons for any significant deviation
  • Support Rebate payout with confirmation of rebate conditionality and qualifying payments
  • Work with sales to verify and check indirect and fleet support including new business proposals
  • Provide buyback pricing and support fleet business with IPC management and dealer margin considerations
  • Provide information on competitor activity and analyse BSUK’s relative position within the market
  • Make recommendations for change providing support documentation to Commercial Demand Planning & Pricing Manager, Directors and BSEU Management
  • Monitor Sell Out Pricing and Margin Analysis for North Region. Produce reports so sales team are fully aware of the market moves
  • Ensure all budget figures within relevant software (e.g. BIP in SAP, Business Explorer, Cognos) are correct and entered on time
  • Track FX moves between GBP and Euro and support monthly meeting with data, forecasts and commentary to help the business make the correct decisions
Market Insights:
  • Gain a strong market and customer knowledge of the North Commercial markets
  • Review market data on a regular basis and understand what is behind our and the market performance (Europool and GFK)
  • Look for opportunities in the market based on evolution, market share data and sales trends
  • Keep up to date with automotive and economic trends that can affect the tyre industry
  • Attend customer visits to get first-hand market information
Requirements:
  • Excellent numerical skills with a determination for accuracy
  • Excellent IT skills - experience with Microsoft products, primarily Excel with particular knowledge of "Pivot Tables" and "Macros"
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work and be effective under pressure
  • Analytical skills to interrogate data and identify patterns and trends
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills - an excellent team player
  • Ideally possess knowledge of SAP or similar software
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to present in depth data findings to various audiences drawing out key information
  • A proactive approach to work, always seeking improvements to processes and challenging the norm
  • Ideally experience of UK tyre industry
