Job Description

Landscape Site Manager£35,000 to £42,000 Van and Fuel card includedStokeFull timeEstablished for over 40 years, our client covers commercial and non-commercial construction projects, covering East and West Midlands, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and the Northwest.Works include Engineering, Earthworks and Groundworks through to Hard and Soft Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance.As a Landscape Site Manager, you will be based on the HS2 scheme in Stoke. This is an integral role within the company and requires an experienced person to help with the management of the projects, team of employees and clients requests.Whilst using your high technical skills in Landscaping you must be able to understand the contracted scope of works and programming requirements, whilst carrying out clear concise communication to staff, management, and clients.Principal duties will include:

  • Running up to nine teams of planters
  • Reading and understanding planting plans, layouts, and specifications
  • Managing Health and Safety on site
  • Ensure effective and safe use of all machinery on site
  • Manage all Landscaping works as per the contracted scope of works
  • Ensure all staff onsite understand and adhere to all company policies and standards
  • Show initiative with ideas, changes of procedures and problem-solving skills
  • Complete relevant company paperwork
  • Assist & work with the line manager to ensure projects are completed to a high quality & in a timely manner.
  • Proven experience managing staff and subcontractors
The Person:
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS / ROLO
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Woodland Planting
  • Identify the different species of trees and shrubs
  • Knowledge or experience with the HS2 scheme would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the different planting methodologies
  • Ability to read and understand planting plans, layouts, and specifications
  • Ability to manage teams to deliver targets
  • Understanding of managing H&S
Other:
  • Salary £32,000 to £42,000 doe (depending on experience)
  • Van and Fuel card included
  • Overtime
  • This role will be based on site for a minimum of 6 months in Stoke
