Job Description

The Recruitment Co are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join our clients expanding team. A world-leading manufacturer of high-quality technical products.Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to £50,000p.aShifts: Full time DAYS with an early finish on a Friday at 12 noon / Hybrid working with 1 - 2 days per week WFHThe Role: Our client is seeking a talented and motivated qualified Accountant with relevant experience to join their finance team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations and strategicdecision-making processes. Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for analysing financial data, providing insightful recommendations, and contributing to the achievement of organisational goalsKey Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and performance reports
  • Preparing 13 week Cash Flow Forecasts and monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Assisting in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasting processes
  • Conducting cost analysis and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation
  • Collaborating with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Accounting of financing / banking including intercompany financing; RCF; loans; FX gains/losses analysis
  • Supply chain reporting and supplier analysis including tracking cost savings
  • Stock analysis and monitoring of obsolete, slow moving stock etc
  • Monitoring capitalised development spend with identification of risks and assist tax advisors with R&D claim
  • Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in management accounting
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CIMA designation preferred
  • Experience in management accounting or related financial roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems; SAP preferred
