Job Description

Design Manager - Facades Job Title: Design Manager - Curtain WallingIndustry Sector: Facades Design, Facades Designer, Designer, Design Manager, Curtain Walling, Glazing, Architectural Glazing, Steelwork, Aluminium, Bespoke Glazing, Partitions, Double Glazing, Building Facades, Facades, Frameless Glazing, Structural Glazing,Fenestration, Windows, DoorsLocation: Swansea or surrounding areasRemuneration: £35,000 - £45,000Benefits Package: Comprehensive Benefits Package The role of the Design Manager - Facades will involve:

  • Design Manager position for a high end manufactured range of curtain walling, windows and doors projects
  • Producing drawings and AutoCAD proposals
  • Answering technical design queries from clients, procurement and installation team
  • Attending meetings internally and externally to discuss project requirements
  • Supporting internal sales team with technical queries
  • Building and developing relationships with the client throughout the process to encourage repeat business
  • Working on projects varying in value from £50k up to £2m
The ideal applicant will be a Design Manager - Facades experience with:
  • Must have design experience within the market sector, working with curtain walling, windows, and doors
  • Must have AutoCAD experience, ideally will be familiar with REVIT/BIM
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Must have a sound understanding of building regulations
  • Must be a proactive, open-minded and a motivated individual
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Confident and articulate
  • Full UK driving license
