Continuous Improvement Lead£54,000 - £57,000 Quarterly bonus, up to 8% matched pension, BUPA Healthcare and Dental, 27 days holiday & bank holidaysMondayFriday, 8.30am4.30pmSwanseaOur client, a leading manufacturer of titanium-based metal products predominantly for the aerospace sector, is looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead for their site in Birmingham. The role will involve being responsible for all aspects of continuousimprovement throughout the business. Continuous Improvement LeadJob Description

  • Being responsible for all aspects of continuous improvements throughout the business.
  • Leading improvement activities to deliver agreed business benefits.
  • Developing and coaching employees in order to deliver improvements to support business objectives.
  • Leading the deployment of the Metals Group Production System and coaching the business to better understand which minimum standards affect their performance and how best to utilise them.
  • Leading the development and execution of the Improvement Programme and focusing on performance improvement (SQCDP) and strategy (BPD) delivery.
  • Leading the business journey to being a Lean Organisation by using Lean/Sigma tools to reduce waste and non-value-added activity.
  • Leading and managing business improvement strategic reviews and business governance sessions.
  • Using improvement and problem-solving tools and techniques to deliver the business critical projects and required levels of business performance.
  • Supporting Best Practice review throughout the business and supporting the business in planning improvement activities.
  • Facilitating Kaizen events, Problem Resolution, Production System and Improvement activities.
Continuous Improvement LeadEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Lean Sigma Black Belt accredited (or working towards accreditation)
  • Educated to minimum degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience with Problem Solving methods (5 Whys, 8D, DMAIC)
  • Value stream mapping experience
  • Improvement Plan/Program Management knowledge
Continuous Improvement LeadDesirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast paced, results driven manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing
