Job Description

Are you a competent Finance professional with experience across Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger Are you enticed by the opportunity to work within a well-established not-for-profit organisation Are you available immediately or on a short notice periodMy client is a well-known charitable organisation based in the Canterbury area, looking for an interim Finance Assistant on a 12-month temporary basis, with a strong opportunity to get extended.The main responsibilities of the Interim Finance Assistant are:

  • Providing vital support and stability to the organisations transactional finance function.
  • Identifying errors and inconsistencies in General Ledger data and preparing correct journals.
  • Raising and processing high-level invoices on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Reviewing bank accounts and identifying cash received.
The successful candidate will:
  • The ability to work with other departments and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent communication ability and strong excel skills.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Previous experience in processing invoices on a weekly basis.
The successful candidate will be required to go into the office two days a week based in the Canterbury area.
