Job Description

Dedicate Recruitment is working in partnership with this SEN residential school in North Kent which is seeking a confident Senior Finance Officer to join a small yet efficient team of three.Reporting to the Director of Resources and supported by a part time Finance Officer, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices and weekly BACs payments are made. Entering the payroll journal onto PS Financials and reconciling banks statementson a monthly basis and ensure all monthly processes are completed accurately and within strict timelines. You will have a good understanding of the differing requirements of management and statutory accounts.You will support the Director of Resources on budget reviews and manage debtor and creditor balances which are overdue.The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or is currently studying for the early stages of an accounting qualification. Ideally, you will have school finance experience, coupled with excellent IT skills. On a personal note, you can work calmly and diligentlyunder pressure, be a natural team player and demonstrate the willingness to be flexible and support school wide activities.In return, you will be joining a supportive school, with the potential to work from home one day per week. This role is a full time, all year through role, the school will also support a term time only + 5 weeks working basis (44 weeks of the year).Hours of work: 8am - 4pm or 8.30am - 4.30pm.An application form will be required to be completed prior to interview.Dedicate Recruitment operates as a recruitment agency for permanent staff and as a recruitment business for temporary workers.
