Job Description

Regional Manager (cleaning business - cleaning industry experience ideally required)Location: East Anglia, Kent, South London, East London & EssexRemote regional working (including company car)A leading cleaning company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the team as a Regional Manager. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing and managing operations in the East Anglia, Kent, South London, EastLondon & Essex regions. The Regional Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maximizing customer satisfaction.Responsibilities (but not limited to):1. Operational Management:- Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the assigned regions, including planning, organizing, and monitoring cleaning operations.- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as service levels, customer satisfaction, and financial targets, and take proactive measures to achieve or exceed them.- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess service quality, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to the operational teams.2. Team Leadership and Development:- Lead and motivate a team of cleaning supervisors and staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.- Recruit, train, and onboard new employees as required.- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and address any performance issues promptly.- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.3. Client Relationship Management:- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.- Conduct regular client meetings to review service performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and explore additional service offerings.- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the assigned regions.4. Financial Management:- Develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining service quality.- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.- Collaborate with the finance department to provide accurate financial forecasts, reports, and analysis.Requirements:1. Education and Experience:- Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the cleaning industry or related service industry.- Strong knowledge of cleaning operations, industry best practices, and health and safety regulations.2. Leadership and Management Skills:- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of resolving operational challenges.- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders at all levels.3. Financial Acumen:- Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.- Proficiency in analyzing financial data and making data-driven decisions.- Ability to interpret financial reports, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve financial performance.4. Customer Focus:- Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and address client needs effectively.- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for service improvement and exceeding customer expectations.5.
