Job Description

We are looking for full and part-time Paid Volunteers, Befrienders & Companions in the Swanley area of Kent. This homecare provider has roles available in the Swanley, Orpington, Shoreham, West Kingsdown, Borough Green, Halstead, Knockholt, Sidcup, New Ash Green, Petts Wood, Meopham, South Darenth, Eynsford, Farningham, Longfield, and surrounding areas of Kent. Due to travelling between clients your own transport is desirable. Pay rate & hours

  • £10.00 - £22.00 per hour.
  • Both full and part time work available. Whether you want a few hours in the mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and are happy to do regular times and days, looking for people that can work alternate weekends.
    • Criteria No Experience is necessary as award-winning training is provided and career progression. The role As a Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion, you would be supporting an older adult in their own home with their daily routines. You would always be carefully matched to the person you will be supporting, and you will stay with the same clients on an ongoing basis, allowing you develop a strong bond. This role will vary from person to person and can involve:
  • Providing personal care which could include washing or dressing.
  • Taking clients to appointments, for exercise or to activities they enjoy.
  • Helping with meal preparation.
  • Doing household chores or domestic duties or getting clients some shopping.
  • Providing companionship and being someone, they can rely on.

Every visit is no less than an hour, meaning they can really tailor the support received whether that be companionship, home help or personal care services.
