Job Description

IT Project Manager - Kent - Permanent : £45- £60k Flexi-working (2 days office/ 3 days where preferred)This role would see you delivering a Complex Software Development Project with the Development being performed by external, 3rd Party Vendors.My Client is an SME in the Property Industry. They pride themselves on being a few steps ahead of their competitors with their technical offerings and with that in mind they have kicked off a multi-year project to completely innovate and replace their existing Client-facing Technical offering and require a dedicated, Full-time, Permanent, experienced Technical Project Manager to manage this complex Project. You will show particular strengths in successfully managing 3rd Party Vendors, Change Management and delivering complex Software Development projects. I am keen to speak to people who have worked within a smaller organisation but also have some experience within a larger corporate environment as a balancing the tighter constraints within small business whilst delivering to a wider user base will be necessary.The role would require you to be office based at least 2 days a week with the remaining 3 days being flexible, therefore it is an essential requirement for you to reside within a reasonable commute of Swanley in Kent (J3 on M25).Experience required

  • Minimum 5 years IT Project management experience, ideally mangaing systems development and integration projects in complex environments.
  • Demonstrable, strong skills in managing 3rd party software vendors and comfortable holding them to account for delivery and cost.
  • A good understanding of modern software engineering practices and their use in commercial platforms.
  • Familiar with agile software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Experience working in smaller organisations where deadlines are tight and resources are limited.
  • Driven and self-motivated. Able to push a project forward and overcome obstacles without daily supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with senior management, vendors and clients.
  • Highly organised and familar with tools such as DropBox and Trello.
    • Desirable:
  • In addition to the above it would be advantageous for candidates to hold a recognised project management qualification from a professional body such as the PMI or PRINCE2.
    • In return my Client is offering:
  • A starting salary of £45-55k is offered for a Permanent person - although they may consider a Fixed Term Contractor in which case the salary is likely to be inflated / negotiable above the Permanent salary level. If interested in a Fixed Term contract you would need to be commited to delivering the initial Project estimated to take 18months-2years. If looking for a long Term permanent career, there is a lot more in the pipeline in terms of Proejct work.
