Job Description

A growing business operating in the construction sector is looking to add a Financial Controller to their team. Whilst working as part of a small finance function you will ensure the provision of providing quality and timely management information topillar management and group finance function. The role in more detail will include:

  • Oversee month end procedures in an accurate and timely manner, including journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Coordinate and support contract budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure full VAT, CIS, PAYE compliance
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of audit requirements
  • Support Tenders & Business plans when required
  • Involvement in introduction of new ERP / IT systems and ensuring the correct IT set-up of new projects and employees
  • Overhead reporting
  • Payroll and Pension support
The successful applicant will be fully qualified (ACCA or CIMA) with all round accounting experience, whilst demonstrating a strong commercial and technical awareness. You will be a team player and able to work on your own initiative, whilst possessing strongIT skills including a high degree of Microsoft Excel competence. A construction background will be advantageous along with experience in operating variants of Microsoft Dynamics.
