An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Manager to provide excellent and robust leadership and management to the staff teamat Lucy Wade Unit. Lucy Wade Unit is at Millbrook Mental Health Unit and is part of a number of inpatient acute inpatient settings under the Adult Mental Health Service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust.Lucy Wade Unitprovides aFemale only acuteward environment to adults of working age, offering assessment and treatment of acute mental illness. This is a busy and stimulating ward providing multiple opportunities for the potential ward manager to experience and demonstrate excellent clinical leadership skills and ensuring high quality care whilst managing the ward in all aspects including HR issues, recruitment and retention, and performance targets in collaborationwitha committed and well established Multi-Disciplinary team.You will be managing the nursing team and other roles which are under your ward budget ensuring that your ward is safely staffed, staff support and development is your priority and working closely with the senior clinical managers who form part of the larger team to ensureRedwood 1is working at its optimal level. This busy ward requires excellent management skills, solid clinical leadership qualities and an ability to work in a responsive and timely manner. The Ward Manager should have experience and knowledge of working as a senior clinician in an inpatient setting. As the Ward Manager you will be overseeing care approaches and systems of delivery. You will be a central figure providing strong leadership throughout the wider multidisciplinary team ensuring that high standards are maintained and improved upon with the support of the Modern Matron and Service Manager.
