Job Description

Job: ToolmakerLocation: Sutton ColdfieldSalary: £16.40 p/h inc. shift allowanceToolmaker - Sutton ColdfieldAre you looking for a new opportunity as a ToolmakerDo you have experience working with Injection Mould ToolingIf yes, we want to hear from you!Our client is a major supplier of injection moulded products, supporting companies across an array of sectors including, retail, automotive, electronics and hygiene products.As a toolmaker you will be joining a high performing team, dealing with all incoming and outgoing tooling throughout the facility.Working as a Toolmaker you will play a crucial role in the overall productivity of the plant. Your duties will include but not limited to:First line maintenance and repair of injection moulding tools.Responsible for ensuring that stored water is evacuated from the tools in line with Legionella requirements and the Tool Evacuation log is maintained.Identify potential tool breakdown issues and report to relevant department in order to decrease the downtime of tools e.g., hot runners, water fittings, core fittings and electrical connections tool wear and damage.Maintain TPM database in line with TPM tool schedule. Carry out insert changes in and out of injection moulding machines.The successful toolmaker must have:

  • A proactive and hands on technical approach to tasks alongside high levels of problem-solving skills.
  • You should be capable of working to your own initiatives, and competent in satisfying demanding deadlines.
  • Previous basic machining / technical experience and knowledge of injection mould tools is an advantage.
  • Min level 3 engineering qualification / equivalent experience or recognised apprenticeship. Significant experience working in a fast-paced Tier 1 Manufacturing environment.
  • High level of Literacy & Numeracy and proficient in Microsoft Excel & Office packages.
  • Experience of Conventional Machining.
Hours of work will be rotational mornings and afternoon shifts. Total of 37.5 Hours Per Week.Salary - £16.40 Per Hour including shift allowance.To be considered as a toolmaker for this role, please click apply now.
