Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality/New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer with an excellent understanding of IATF16949 and plastic injection moulding. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuringtimely delivery while maintaining the highest level of quality.Client DetailsOur client is a leading player in the manufacturing sector, employing over 1,000 individuals across multiple sites including Sutton Coldfield. They are renowned for their commitment to innovation and quality, and strive to maintain a work environment thatvalues teamwork and continuous improvement. They have recently won a number of new contracts and are currently adding significant headcount on specialist projects.Description

  • Manage virtual new product introduction projects from concept to prototyping ready for manufacture.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the design team to optimise product design for manufacturing.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide technical support to the production team as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workplace.
ProfileA successful Quality/NPI Engineer should have:
  • Worked in a similar position within manufacturing previously - specifically plastic injection moulding.
  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • An understanding of IATF16949
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamworking skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications - ideally CATIA.
