Job Description

Finance ControllerSutton ColdfieldUp to £50,000Our partner is a well-established business based in Sutton Coldfield; they are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to join their growing operation.The business is looking for someone who is a self-starter who can think on their feet and wants to sink their teeth into a hands-on role.What to expect:

  • Ensure financial reporting and management information is relevant and issued on a timely basis.
  • Looking after a team of 6 reports
  • Manage accounts team through challenging periods including month end, year end and annual audits.
  • Provide financial expertise, support and advice to the Executive and HOD teams to ensure revenue and profit flow thru maximization.
  • Mentor Assistant Financial Controller
  • Implement financial controls and manage the finance function on a day to day basis
  • Liaise with ownership, banks, legal and professional advisors to ensure compliance
Who are we looking for:
  • Qualified or part qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification
  • Ability to work with directly with ownership, banks, legal and professional advisors to ensure compliance
  • Experience in a hotel or hospitality finance function an advantage
  • Commercially astute, articulate, dynamic, insightful and influential leader
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels both oral and written.
  • Strong IT and data management skills
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
