Job Description

Our client is a company that designs, manufactures and distributes control and humidification solutions for the residential, industrial and commercial segments in the HVAC market. Their business is split into 4 areas: Humidification Systems, Air ConditioningControl Systems, Refrigeration Control Systems, and Retail Control & Monitoring Systems.They are looking for a talented Technical Support Engineer to join them. You will be critical to supporting clients and solving problems to keep them happy with the service Carel provide.-- MISSION --The Technical Support Engineer is a key member of the Remote Services Team and works closely with the Specialists in both the remote and field services teams to provide direct support to customers.-- RESPONSIBILITIES --

  • Provide first line support for customers by phone and email
  • Be the face of the company for technical support to the customer base
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and professional manner, keeping the customer informed of the status of any enquiry
  • Delivering technical documentation or answers based on technical documentation
  • Help with fault resolution through root-cause analysis
  • Support customers and service partners throughout the UK in the delivery of fieldservices for company products.
  • Escalate any queries or issues that cannot be directly resolved to the correct specialistsand follow up regularly.
  • Employ the LEAN methodology in the work environment.
  • Adhere to relevant industry legislations, company values and policies at all times.

-- REQUIREMENTS --
  • The successful applicant must be an active team player with excellent communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, excellent English written and verbal communications skills
  • Minimum qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in HVAC/R Preferably qualified to NVQ level 4/5 in engineering with exposure to C&I, electrical and electronic engineering. Proficient IT skills: Windows, MS Office, Google Suite Problem solving, organisational / task prioritising skills Ability to be flexible and adaptable Able to working both individually and as a part of a team Ability and desire to train others, able to take complex topics and deliver it to the right level for the audience
