Job Description

£47,300 up to £59,400*per annum - This isnt making a change today. This is making an impact tomorrow.Our IT department at Lidl GB is continuing to expand and plays a crucial role in our international success. Our brand new, state-of-the-art Head Office in Tolworth has over 100 IT colleagues managing and supporting the business and driving innovation forward.Our IT Infrastructure Server Team is now looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and driven individual to join the team and build a career in a challenging and international environment.This role is ideal if you are looking for a fast-paced environment where you can grow and engage on a wide variety of topics and project work. If you are enthusiastic and passionate about IT Infrastructure and with fantastic consultative skills, this isthe role for you.We have a hybrid working model for Head Office roles, with only 3 days in the office per week ensuring you have a flexible work life balance.What youll do

  • Work on a variety of diverse BAU tasks within the infrastructure team including 3rd line support tickets, Backup monitoring & System monitoring
  • Management of Endpoint security tools and assessing vulnerability risks
  • Coordinate and contribute to national and international projects, liaising with stakeholders within different business areas and understanding the wider Lidl business context
  • Support in the maintenance and configuration of Data Centre Infrastructure
  • Ensure the stability, security and quality of infrastructure solutions
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the technical infrastructure as well as components / platforms in use
  • Provide support and incident management for applicable solutions
  • Participate in projects at both national and international level: New RDC Builds, Lidl Store expansion
  • Ensure excellent working relationships with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure the success and smooth operation of solutions
  • Occasional out of hours work
  • Occasional travel to Regional Distribution Centres for upgrades & new installations
  • Occasional visits to external suppliers and travel within Europe
What youll need
  • Proven experience in an enterprise infrastructure role
  • Virtualisation, preferably VMware vSphere experience is highly beneficial
  • Solid knowledge experience in the following areas:
    • Server systems, preferably HPE
    • Backup & Recovery, preferably Netbackup
    • Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS
    • Storage systems, preferably NetApp
    • Windows Server OS (2012+)
  • Other desirable experience:
    • Azure
    • Linux OS
    • Ansible
  • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good planning and organisational skills
  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively on your own and in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work out-of-hours for upgrades and roll outs
  • Good attention to detail
  • UK Driving License is highly desirable
