This is making an impact tomorrow.Based in our brand new, state-of-the-art head office in Tolworth, our IT Business Consulting department is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and driven individual to join the team and build a career in a challenging and international environment.Our IT department at Lidl GB is continuing to expand and plays a crucial role in our international success. In our Head Office alone, we have over 100 colleagues managing and supporting our solution landscape and driving innovation forward. Our BusinessConsulting department are currently looking for a new IT Business Consultant who will be responsible for the implementation of solutions for our Head Office.We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate IT Business Consultant who will proactively consult, advise on solutions and manage state-of-the-art projects such as product management system in collaboration with own Buying and Advertisement management.There will be an opportunity to connect and build relationships with Head Office departments such as construction and property, helping them develop more effective solutions for their business needs. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and growyour career working for the largest retailer in Europe.We have a hybrid working model for Head Office roles, with only 3 days in the office per week ensuring you have a flexible work life balance.What youll do

• Collaborate with business consultants on potential new solutions and improvements to existing solutions within the Core Services functions
• Provide solutions to the business in a cost-efficient way whilst maintaining functionality and time-to-market
• Ensure the stability, security and quality of provided solutions
• Maintain a knowledge of the technical infrastructure as well as components / platforms in use
• Provide support and incident management for applicable solutions
• Participate in and lead projects at both national and international level
• Manage core service solutions throughout their lifecycle from conception through to retirement
• Ensure excellent working relationships with business stakeholders, including Buying, Finance, Property, Advertising and Controlling
• Proactively researching and implementing ways to improve internal processes and technologies
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure the success and smooth operation of solutions

What youll need

• Understanding of application lifecycle management
• Experience of project and stakeholder management
• Knowledge of SQL is essential
• Working knowledge of retail solutions is highly beneficial
• The ability to liaise and communicate at both a technical and non-technical level
• A strong team mentality and good collaboration ethos
• Comfortable multitasking a diverse portfolio of projects and tasks
• A technical and inquisitive mindset
• Strong ownership of tasks and a keen eye for detail
• Proactive in keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• German language skills are desirable, but not essential
