Job Description

Summary£48,400 up to £64,900*per annum - This isn’t an ordinary job. You will be challenged to develop solutions to complex tasks in a fast-paced environment, but you will be supported every step of the way.The Project Manager will be responsible for strategic national projects that support the maintenance and servicing of our growing store portfolio. The projects include the implementation of statutory testing and structural inspections of our buildings andensuring project delivery on time, budget and in line with legal requirements and industry standards. It is an exciting opportunity to join the Facilities Management team to help our rapidly growing business flourish.We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, weoffer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the rightenvironments that work most effectively for them.What youll do

  • Manage end-to-end strategic Facility Management projects at national level
  • Ensure legal and operational compliance, through the implementation of statutory testing and due diligence
  • Support the regional Facility Managers by developing procedures and conducting trainings
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the selection and appointment of external consultants and contractors, including running and participating in the negotiation / tendering of contracts
  • Manage and monitor external contractors’ performance
  • Analyze inspection reports, extract, and analyze sets of data to monitor on-going expenditure / trending building defects
  • Identify improvement potentials and develop implementation strategies
  • Develop and present concepts up to Board level
What youll need
  • Degree educated (BSc/ MSc) in a technical/building services or business management discipline advantageous
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with passion, resilience, and adaptability
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively across all levels of the business
  • A passion for playing your part in a team and ability to work independently
  • Self-motivation and determination to succeed in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract management and tendering (advantageous)
  • Building management experience (advantageous)
  • Strong computer skills, including Power point and Excel
  • Full valid driving license
  • Willingness to travel for 10-20% of the time with the occasional overnight stay
