Job Description

Reed Accountancy currently have a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing, international business seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team.A global business within the electronics sectors, my client invests heavily in product development enabling them to deliver world class, innovative and reliable products.Working on SAGE 200 and reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the below duties;

Ownership of the sales ledger, including overseeing the invoicing, raising credit notes and reconciling sales
Credit control – cash receipts postings/month end statements/chasing debts/liaising with customer accounts departments
Ownership of purchase ledger – regular posting of purchase invoices and employee expenses (cash and credit cards)
Preparation of bi-weekly treasury payment runs for review
Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts pack
Dealing with purchase payments using online banking
Assist in preparation of UK and Republic of Ireland VAT returns
Monitoring accounts mailbox and deal with customer enquiries
Weekly generation of reports for sales team to help monitor performance against budget and facilitate sales activities

This role would be ideal for someone who is studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA and is looking for a role where they can progress and gain further experience. You must feel comfortable working within a fast paced environment and working to deadlines.This role will be hybrid with some remote working alongside working in the newly refurbished offices, this is a unique opportunity for an individual who is determined to succeed and create ownership of this new role within the business.Due to the location you would need to be driver with access to vehicle, free parking is available onsite.If this sounds like you, then apply today!
