Job Description

Start: ImmediateHours: You will be required to work a range of different hours to suit the weddings and events that take place throughout the year - these hours could be: 8am - 6pm or 10am - 7.30pm or 3pm - close. Weekend work a must.Location: Ely, CB7Salary: £28,000 - £35,000The successful Wedding/Restaurant Operations and Events Manager will join our clients extremely friendly, hard-working and growing team. They are a family run business, with a strong family ethos.As the Wedding/Restaurant Operations and Events Manager youll work at a busy wedding venue, with 15 bedrooms which are used exclusively for events on most weekends and on a B&B basis during the week.We are seeking a dedicated Wedding/Restaurant Operations & Events Manager who demonstrates a hands-on approach and loves being at the centre of events. You will be a key member in the events team, working together to ensure each wedding and event is accuratelyorganised and exceeds guests expectations.The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience with the ability to oversee and manage events. Ideally you will have come from a hospitality background of food and beverage, catering or events. This position is a customer facing position thereforedelivery of exceptional customer service is always to be provided.Duties:* Individual wedding meetings with wedding couples* Showing suppliers where they are required to be on the day of the event* Event managing and being responsible for the overall venue* Setting up of the marquee and bar operation for all events* Ensuring all licenses are adhered to* Dealing with guest inquiries and offering customer service* Checking guests in on arrival* Handling any customer complaints and issues professionally* Training staff - maintaining standards* Assisting the restaurant and check-in shifts for B&B guestsBe front of house in the restaurant managing a team of 4/5 staff* Restaurant can hold up to 120 people Skills and Experience:* You MUST have worked for a minimum of 1 year in an operational role previously within hospitality or restaurant management* Strong communication skills* Ability to work well under pressure* Flexible to work shifts* Be passionate about customer service and going the extra mile* There is so much progression for the right personIf you are interested in this position, feel you have the relevant experience and skills and would like to apply, please call our team on or apply online.Whilst wed love to get back to every applicant, it is not always possible, so if you havent heard from us within 3-5 days, please note that your application has not been successful on this occasion.Aspire Cambridge is acting as an Employment Agency in regards to this Permanent opportunity.
