Job Description

Operations Manager (Repairs)Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid)Salary: £53,863 - £56,910 with Essential Car AllowanceThe Vacancy We are currently looking for a dynamic Operations Manager (Repairs) to manage MSV’s responsive and voids maintenance service. You will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of our in-house repairs service, whilst leading a team of Area Repairs Managersensuring that we deliver a market leading, innovative and customer focused service.You will ensure high levels of staff engagement in the delivery of our repairs and maintenance services, whilst ensuring that exceptional customer service is achieved. You will also be responsible for driving a positive health & safety culture.Does this sound like you Please read on for further details on this exciting role!What you will be doing

  • Lead the operational management of the service, ensuring all repairs, health & safety, statutory and consumer standards are delivered
  • Work collaboratively to provide clear operational leadership for the Property Care Team
  • Ensure alignment of initial contact from customers with the effective planning and completion of repairs that meet the customers needs and expectations
  • Ensuring customer focus is maintained across your team
  • Support the Head of Repairs in the delivery of a commercially viable repairs and voids service
  • Deliver and support organisational change programmes and initiatives
  • Ensure that your team works closely and collaboratively with all other teams and areas
  • Conduct regular team meetings, and brief your team on all corporate communications
What we need you to have:
  • Educated to degree level in Building Construction / Surveying or comparable professional qualification and / or experience relating to the post
  • Evidence of and commitment to continual professional and management development
  • Can demonstrate an extensive and strong track record of leading a customer-focussed repairs, property, or related function to deliver excellent services.
  • Comprehensive experience of successfully managing in-house repair teams, and partnerships with sub-contractors.
  • Has a solid track record of managing people and driving improvements in teams to achieve targets in the delivery of excellent service.
  • Substantial knowledge of working within the construction / building / maintenance sector, with an understanding of asset management.
  • Experience of leading customer facing teams with excellent knowledge of what good looks like in respect of customer service and how to achieve excellence.
