Job Description

Head of Inbound Sales Development - Covering the UKMy client is an independently own company who are based in the Northwest. Due to an internal promotion, they are now looking for the Head of Inbound Sales Development who will be responsible for the growth of their supply chain products in relation to inboundocean and air products across the UK.As the Head of Inbound Sales Development, you will be able to demonstrate your sales ability to close the deal, achieve and exceed sales targets, build strong lasting relationships, whilst also mentoring, coaching, and developing two business developmentmanagers who will manage the product you will sell.With an EDI connected global network, they have contractual arrangements with carriers and operate their own rail and final mile delivery solution. In addition, they have their own in-house customs team and coders and developers that manage their technologyplatform.Operating in a niche market, you have a real and tangible end2end product to sell with many differentiators that set you apart from other companies.Basic salary £70,000 plus £6,000 car allowance, uncapped bonus, and benefits Candidate Skills

  • Have at least 3 years experience working in forwarding sales
  • Complete understanding of carrier operations, (inbound ocean and air products and be familiar with UK port operations
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
  • Any knowledge of activity in the Asian market, would be an advantage
  • MS Office Applications, Windows Operating System with good technical knowledge
  • Good understanding of technology based portals (not tracking spreadsheets)
  • Fully compliant with customs activity (not how to do an entry)
  • Transfer from being key stakeholder to the Head of Supply Chain after three consecutive months of trading.
Duties
  • You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities engaging with prospective clients and conduct presentations
  • Meet and exceed specific volume and profit stream
  • Target business that fits the companies business model and identify market trends
  • Assist and facilitate in the preparation of tenders and report on quotation metrics per week/month
  • Perform SWAT analysis on product development to remove barriers and secure new business and understand pricing and margin targets
  • Manage the companies CRM and quotation software provider
  • Manage appointment targets for yourself and your team
  • Ensure an effective and timely response to all new business sales leads
  • Mentor, coach and assist business development managers so ensure they can achieve their targets
  • Work on marketing initiatives with the MD
