Job Description

Business Support Manager (Repairs)Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid)Salary: £53,863 - £56,910 with Essential Car AllowanceThe Vacancy MSV Housing are currently looking for a dynamic Business Support Manager to lead the Repairs Business Support Team, you will be responsible for managing the material framework, sub-contractor arrangements, fleet & IT system support. The successful candidatewill support the Head of Repairs in the delivery of the repairs and maintenance service and ensure the delivery of a customer focused service across MSV Housing.You will work collaboratively across the service in order to support workforce productivity and customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring the business supports functions support our core repairs service valuesDoes this sound like you Please read on for further details on this exciting role!What you will be doing:

  • Lead all business support functions including management of framework contractors, material distribution, fleet management and system support.
  • Provide effective operational leadership and motivate team members to achieve
  • Lead on the effective delivery of the material supply infrastructure
  • Create successful and efficient partnerships / Supply Chain arrangements through effective procurement and strategic partnerships
  • Ensure operational leadership and management of sub-contractors, through effective work planning and monitoring targets
  • Respond to feedback and support complaint resolution from internal and external customers
  • Conduct regular team meetings and brief team members on all corporate communications
  • Support the development and implementation of associated repairs and maintenance strategies, policy and procedure
What we need you to have:
  • Educated to degree level in Building Construction or comparable professional qualification and/or experience relating to the post.
  • Evidence of and commitment to continual professional and management development.
  • Demonstratable expertise of a customer-focussed repairs, property and/or related functions that delivers excellent customer services.
  • Comprehensive experience of successfully leading/supporting in-house repair teams’ infrastructure (fleet/systems/materials) and partnerships with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Expertise in material infrastructure management.
  • A solid track record of managing people and driving improvements in teams to achieve targets in the delivery of excellent service.
  • Experience of procurement processes including tender design, evaluation and third-party contractor monitoring and management
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
