Finance AssistantStradishall, near Haverhill£27,000-£28,000 per annumAn exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading organisation based in Stradishall (between Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill), for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the growing finance team in the role of Finance Assistant.Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will see the post holder taking responsibility for a variety of duties, and with the opportunity to take on more responsibility over time.Duties to include:

Processing supplier invoices, seeking approvalwhere required
Prepare weekly payment runs
Carry out supplier statement reconciliations
Processing company credit cards and staff expenses
Work with colleagues and customers to ensure prompt payment of invoices
Assist with Payroll preparation
Responsibility for the production of invoices

This client is looking for somebody with ideally 1-2 years accounts experience and a good understanding of accounts payable processes. This would suit somebody looking for their second accounts role, keen to take the next step, or an established AccountsAssistant seeking a change.The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to study for the AAT qualification should they wish to, and those already studying for thiswould be welcomed.Candidates should have intermediate Excel skills, ideally some experience of using accounting software, and a flexible and willing attitude.You will join a friendly team, working in pleasant surroundings.
