Job Description

As the Production Engineer you will ensure all existing and new products are optimised and up to date for manufacturing and assembly working cross department within the business. Data is up to date and applicable for manufacturing and assembly.You will work cross function between design, production, quality and supply chain to ensure all components are optimised and have the correct collateral in place for target costs, manufacturing, assembly and quality controls.

  • Create and reconcile all 2D / 3D models of components and product SKUs
  • Structure the digital library ensuring all drawings are up to date and relevant
  • Ensure all assembly, quality, electrical testing and packing guides are created and updated
  • Prepare technical files for products: CE / UKCA / cULus / Declarations
  • Ensure all packaging is suitable for export, tested to the required standards and consistently reviewed and updated accordingly
  • Working with production, supply chain and design for optimal assembly and manufacturing methods
To be successful in this role of Production Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
  • A degree or above in engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of NPD
  • Knowledge of Product Improvement
  • Knowledge of process improvement
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience of product engineering development for manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and production planning, bar coding and MRP (Unleashed) systems
  • Full clean Driving license
