Job Description

As the Production and Quality Manager you will lead the production team within their fast-paced, commercially led, assembly warehouse. You will implement and ensure the production and quality team are fully trained to industry and companystandards and adhere to Quality Assurances including LIA QA. Drive the testing and quality procedures and processes, ensuring they are reviewed, revised and maintained.

  • Understand 5S, SMED, 6 Sigma, OEE and pull systems, together with problem solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, root cause analysis and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure continuous Improvement (KAIZEN), process change and successful implementation
  • Make certain the production team is highly motivated, achieving output targets and set KPIs
  • Have an ability to coach, train and educate staff in modern manufacturing techniques, be able to develop a high-performance culture focussed on quality.
  • Be dynamic, data driven, numerate with a strong understanding of capacity planning and production scheduling.
  • Have excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation, be able to motivate, create understanding and engagement.
  • You will ensure the company adhere to lighting industry standards such as CE and UL, managing all relevant compliance policies and procedures.
We would love to speak to anyone for the Production and Quality Manager position, who has the following experience:
  • A minimum 10 years experience of working within lighting engineering which may include, electronics, electronic device manufacture or general engineering.
  • A proven track record of hands-on, quality and compliance management
  • A degree or above in engineering or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and production planning, bar coding and MRP (Unleashed) systems
  • Full clean Driving license
