Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate, enthusiastic designer to join our award-winning team. Producing concepts and designs for a range of media including Events, Print, Digital, Film, Animation, Motion Graphics & Animations, you’ll work collaboratively with multiple account teams on a range of projects.We’re looking for someone with a great attitude and who will knock our creative socks off with a really strong portfolioGraphic Designer Responsibilities:- Interpret a Design Brief - create concepts & interpret brand guidelines.- Digital Design for Web, Apps & User experience- Design of Printed Material- Design of Graphics for Screen- Design for Events – Design work and event collateral to support event.- Drawing & Scamping – Ability to communicate ideas and concepts- Artworking - production of printed materials, screen graphics, print and screen ready.- Storyboarding – Developing and communicating ideas for film, motion graphics, Animations & After Effects- Brand Design - Creative concepting- Design Department Processes- Working with Account Managers - working to brief and timescales.- Supplier Liaison - obtaining quotes, understanding requirements, specifications.- Be a Banana - uphold and live values, attend and engage in staff communication meetings Live, work and believe in the core banana values and be engaged in all communication within the company.- Actively Participate in Creative Meetings Researching what is new in the industry, updating Pinterest boards, new printers and print processes. Staying ahead of the game.- Generate Ideas for other Designers/Freelancers, Create design concepts based on brief and communicate effectively to other designers and freelancers.- Attend relevant client meetings and be a creative voice - Present creative work and talk through the rationale. Be comfortable in a meeting environment and be able to take criticism and be constructive. Know when to push for creative and when not to push.- Process Adherence - in line with ISO 9001 - adhere to all ISO 9001 processes that are involved with the project from inception to completion.- Proactive Self and Professional Development - discuss with line manager any training or help in understanding various elements of your job role in order to enhance your skill sets and further develop your position within the company.Graphic Designer Requirements:Skills- Ability to use relevant software & design packages- Ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated- Confident in presenting design concepts and work- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail- Autonomous – taking ownership and responsibility- Flexible – ability to adapt in the moment- Creative and dynamic – think outside the box, challenge the norm- Ability to work in a team- Ability to see projects through- Computer literateRequirements:- Previous experience of a similar role, ideally in an agency environment- Previous experience of designing for events would be preferable, but not essential- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite- Experience of working at pace across a variety of projects and clients- A passion for creating stunning visuals which match the client brief- Experience/skills with Digital Design for Web, Apps & User experience and the desire to develop and grow in this area more, would be advantageous- Please note your own transport is essential due to our rural locationPlease include a link to your portfolio with your CV/application - we will not be able to process your application without thisAbout Top Banana:Top Banana is an award winning creative communications agency with a mission of helping businesses communicate better.
