Geotechnical Design Engineer Stourbridge - Near Birmingham £30,000 - £40,0005% Pension Progression Support with Chartership Excellent role on offer for a Geotechnical Engineer with a couple of years design experience to get involved technically and grow with a highly reputable civil and geotechnical consultancy who is working at the forefront of the industry and is looking for amotivated and experienced candidate to join the team.Are you an experienced and passionate Geotechnical Engineer Have you got some great experience doing design work Are you Looking to demonstrate your technical skills on prestigious projectsThe company are a geotechnical firm based in the Midlands who provide a full and diverse range of geotechnical consultancy design services. From large scale rail projects with principle contractors to local authority projects, the variety in the role and thechance to have hands on responsibility is immense. The small but very experienced team is very good at developing Engineers in their careers and giving them plenty of opportunity and support to progress. In this role you will be based in their head office just near Stourbridge, outside Birmingham. You will be doing a variety of work including earthwork, foundation and drainage designs including the remediation of slopes, retaining structures (including gabionwalls, gravity walls, embedded piles, kingpost walls, anchored walls), soil nails, foundation designs (shallow footings, piles, mini-piles), temporary works designs for plant access (including working on slopes, crane outrigger designs, working platforms)and drainage improvement works. Projects typically include the inspection and assessment of embankments, cuttings, retaining walls, culverts and drainage assets predominantly within the rail network, the consideration of options for remedial or upgrading worksand the design and specification of practical solutions. This fantastic opportunity would therefore ideally suit a passionate Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 2+ years design experience. The successful candidate will be highly knowledgeable and driven to complete projects to a high standard.
