Job Description

Primarily office based you may be required to travel to client sites to undertake software modifications or to attend meetings.Key duties will include:

  • The design, documentation, development, testing and commissioning of PLC based control systems.
  • Complete system development lifecycle from initial design through to customer site acceptance.
  • Investigation and rectification of defects at customer sites.
  • Attend design working groups.
Key skills and experience required:
  • HND or higher qualification in a software related engineering discipline
  • Experience working with software based control systems
  • Experience using Modbus is essential
  • Knowledge of structured text would be preferred
  • Experience of the complete software/systems design lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of P&ID drawings
  • Able to interpret and work with electrical drawings
  • Working knowledge of process control
  • Knowledge of network/serial communications protocols and hardware

  • Ability to work as an established team
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work unsupervised to meet project deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working practices
  • Willing to travel and work away from home, including overnight stays when required
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pmHolidays: 25 days + bank holidays
