Job Description

Although based at the client office in Staffordshire, the Site Supervisor will spend the majority of their time out on customer sites.Key duties whilst on customer sites:

  • Supervising and motivating a team of technicians (electrical and mechanical) on site throughout the UK, and occasionally overseas
  • Ensuring the site programme has been fully reviewed and programmes/budgets are agreed prior to commencing site work
  • Ensuring daily reporting to site coordinator whilst on site
  • Managing delivery of the site project activities, ensuring site and contract standards are achieved
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S legislation
  • Establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with client supervisor
  • Ensuring the company vehicle is fully stocked with materials required for the project
  • Collating NCR data to be used for lessons learned corrective actions
  • Compiling material returns reporting
  • Coordinating multi-site activity
Duties whilst on client home site:
  • Conducting and supporting inspection checks
  • Conducting pressure testing of manufactured product
  • Conducting toolbox talks with emphasis on continuous Improvement
  • Conducting and supporting site survey activities
  • Forming part of the Internal Risk Assessor team
Key skills and experience required:High level of experience in either electrical/mechanical installation within an engineering-based company
  • Experience of managing installations to plan and budget is essential
  • IOSH qualified
  • Relevant City and Guilds qualification (18th edition, Inspection and Test, Mechanical pipefitting etc)
  • Clean driving licence Awareness/experience of compliance with CDM regulations
  • SSSTS qualified
  • Strong planning, communication and delegation skills
  • HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be beneficial
Hours of work: 8.00am - 4.30pm (with flexibility to suit the client needs)Holidays: 25 days + bank holidaysExcellent benefits package availableCompany van available to travel to site
