And surely thats a future worth eating forPurpose of role:As Quorn embarks upon its next phase of high-level growth, this role will provide financial partnership delivering robust modelling, analysis and evaluation to support and inform executive decision making, programmes, initiatives and projects.Key Tasks/AccountabilitiesReporting* Monitor performance vs target on projects and initiatives until absorbed within Business as Usual.* Assess the implications of projects for impact on in year and forecast targets and liaise with relevant Finance Business Partner to ensure captured and understood within their area reporting.Control* Ensure that all financial models informing key strategic decisions are based on robust and relevant data and assumptions* Ensure that all models and processes are aligned with the Capital PolicyContinuous Improvement* Support the Factory & Logistics BPs in developing understanding of cost drivers to develop enhanced insights on business drivers* Develop methodologies for creating robust longer term financial plans that demonstrate impact on key metrics such as ROIC.* Share development of best practice, building credibility and trust in the Finance function.Strategy Development* Work closely with Business Heads to ensure seamless understanding of performance, opportunities and risk, and to provide insights to drive strategic development.* Build, analyse and evaluate financial scenario modelling to inform and shape key strategic decisions.* Support the capital planning/evaluations business case process ensuring that underlying projects and capex are aligned with overall StrategyBudgeting & Forecasting* Ensure that projects and all related cost/benefits are integrated within the annual budget and periodic reforecast process or overlaid as appropriate with all stakeholders fully aligned on impacts. Produce supporting MI to key stakeholders.* Provide general support for forecast processProjects* Partner with FGMs to identify and lead performance improvement projects* Partner with members of project teams to provide highly relevant data and insight, as well as ideas, understanding and challenge.Team Support* Contribute to team meetings.* Give advice and support to team members.* Work closely with other relationship holders, particularly FGMs, as well as senior managers and knowledge managers.Personal Development* Identify and agree personal development needs.* Pro-actively address personal development needs.* Keep up to date with product / service developments.* Develop technical skills.Person SpecificationEssential* Educated to degree level, as well as recognised accounting qualification (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) and at least 5 years PQE.* Considerable business partner experience in FMCG, Retail or Logistics businesses.* Proactive and positive approach to work; able to lead initiatives and challenge / influence senior stakeholders.* Excellent systems skills: Confident in reporting from SAP and a high level of proficiency in Excel.* Great team player, also with the ability to work independently when required.* Excellent attention to detail - must possess exceptional analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and data to stakeholders with non-financial backgrounds.* Ability to work with ambiguity and change - resilient and agile.* Self-starter with exceptional commercial awareness and understanding of key business drivers. Must have examples to date where you have steered decision making and championed new initiatives to ensure the most effective and profitable actions are taken* Demonstrates responsibility and ownership, able to prioritise own workload, working to strict deadlinesDesirable* Previously held roles supporting Supply Chain Logistics and Manufacturing.* Experienced in management accounts and operational finance processes.There is flexibility over geographical location with candidate commitment to spend some time in the North East of England.All third party CVs will be forwarded to Broster Buchanan for consideration.
