Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturer, based in Stoke Prior, is looking for an Electrical Design Manager to join their team.The Electrical Design Manager will have experience in designing electrical systems and components, as well as a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.Reporting to the Engineering Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of circa 20 Electrical Design Engineers.The Electrical Design Manager must also be able to work independently and collaboratively with other stakeholders across the wider business to ensure the successful completion of projects.Responsibilities:

Manage and develop the electrical engineering team
Work with Senior management to ensure the timely completion of projects
Be able to identify and implement improvements
Manage absence and ensure adequate cover at all times
Communicate challenges and roadblocks to the Senior team to ensure remedial actions are taken.

Key attributes:

Electrical engineering qualifications - although qualified by experience is considered, applications from those without specific qualifications but who have relevant experience are encouraged.
Experience managing a team - required
Have worked in manufacturing or production in any industry - required

Benefits:

Days-only role (Monday - Friday) (half day on a Friday)
Annual bonus (dependent on the company and individual performance but in the region of £5k per annum)
