Job Description

About the Support Worker role:The state of the art building will provide enjoyable and fun breaks for adults with a learning disability within the region as well as providing day support.Oaklands includes two bedrooms for overnight stays, a sensory room with interactive floor, bathroom with LED light changing spa bath, a wet room and a spacious garden with a swing, summer house and sunken trampoline.Our Support Workers play a vital role in helping the people we support and their families to enjoy short breaks and maintain their support networks.The right candidate should be a good problem solver and have a dynamic personality. They will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team on a 2:1 basis as well as using their own initiative working 1:1 with people.You will support people with a variety of tasks to ensure that they enjoy their stay. Activities are varied and personalised to the different individuals that we support and include trips out as well as activities within the house. A day could include everythingfrom taking a trip to the coast, to taking the person you are supporting shopping or swimming. Your role will also include supporting people with personal care.What are the Benefits available to our Support Worker

  • No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
