Lead Electrical Engineer £75,000 plus package and bonus Bristol/Hybrid working Are you an electrical engineer who is looking for your next step up in your career Do you feel like you have hit a ceiling in your current roleA leading ICP who specialises in the grid connection of Solar and Battery Storage projects from Lv to 132kV is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team. You will be required to work as part of a team to Review Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Contestable Connection Offers and completing designs that conform to the relevant DNO policies, British and IEC standards. You will also work on private networks, mainlySolar Farms and Battery Storage projects. As a lead engineer, the role will involve the review and approval of designs by others, whether this be an in house design completed by another employee, or a design completed by a third party consultant and to also be responsible for the mentoring of Graduateand Trainee members of the team. Responsibilities;* The design and conceptual design of both the grid connection and private network infrastructure from LV up to and including 132kV* The management of the design of projects on both the grid connection and private network infrastructure from LV up to and including 132kV* Assisting the design manager when required by attending DNO surgeries and other industry relevant events.* Maintain and develop competence level and technical skills to ensure delivery to high standards* Overseeing other engineers on the creation and regular update of project programme of Works from a design perspective.* Completion of project specific design risk assessments.* Providing regular reports and updates to the project manager and/or the client in relation to project design progress.Essential Criteria;* Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering* AutoCAD experience* 5 years + Experience in a Contracting/Consulting* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)* Full clean driving licence* HV/EHV experience* Experience working with IDNOs, DNOs or ICPs* Working to BSEN, IEC ,IEEE & CENELEC Standards* Managing Drawing register and design submissions to the DNO/Client
