Job Description

heBased in Stockton, our client have an immediate requirement for an experience SENIORIT ENGINEER (3rd line support), to join a small technical team, rotating between Helpdesk incidents and project delivery, providing technical support to clients, and ensuring customers incidents, service requires and projects are completed.Qualifications, Skills and ExperiencePrimarily supporting our clients Windows networks; using Active Directory & 365/Exchange, applications are invited from candidates who have a strong background in IT support and can demonstrate:

  • Strong experience of the Windows environment.
  • Installation of physical servers and/or virtually.
  • Understanding of IP networks & IT security.
  • Knowledge of SONICWALL and ESET Security Products advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Permissions and Group Policy.
  • Office 365 and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Backups Systems, BackupExec, Veeam.
  • Understanding all aspects of a customer’s infrastructure.
  • VOIP Telephone Systems
  • Excellent Desktop skills; being able to troubleshoot Office, Outlook and other 3rd party software issues.
  • An industry recognised qualification (e.g. MCP’S, MCESES, CCA, CCNA, A+, Network+ etc) would be desirable.Other essential qualities in this customer focussed role are:
  • Strong communication skills by either face to face, telephone or email interaction.
  • Enthusiasm and willing to self-teach and develop yourself.
  • The ability to work in a busy team but also by yourself.
  • Not afraid to take new challenges on.
  • Ability to use initiative, research and troubleshoot problems until all avenues exhausted.
  • Understanding how Managed Service Providers operate.
