Job Description

Are you an accounting expert seeking a new role with staff management responsibility Could you provide technical financial support and create complex reports for an organisation with a diverse range of services Want to work for a socially driven organisationwith a turnover close to £200m If yes, you could be the perfect candidate for this role!Robertson Bell are working with this growing public sector organisation whilst they recruit for a Senior Finance Manager on a permanent and full-time basis. Reporting into one of the Heads of Finance you will play a key role in producing the organisationsfinancial statements, oversee regulatory compliance and review the management accounts whilst leading a small team.Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Work closely with the Head of Finance on key projects and contribute towards the organisations yearly budget and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
  • Drive efficiency and suggest ways of automating processes.
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements and consolidate the groups entities including managing the audit schedule.
  • Review financial appraisals and carry out analysis around potential financial propositions.
  • Review value for money metrics and sign off intercompany reconciliations.
  • Lead on the drafting of the statutory accounts timetable.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of management accounts.
  • Manage three direct reports offering necessary support, guidance and training.
This Senior Finance Manager position will officially be based at the organisations head office in Middlesbrough however highly flexible working from home arrangements will be on offer. This position offers the perfect opportunity for a strong Accountantwith knowledge of preparing financial statements in accordance with FRS102.The successful candidate will:
  • Be a fully qualified Accountant.
  • Have solid experience within a technical accounting role.
  • Have previously led on the preparation of financial statements or management accounts.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be a confident people manager.
