Job Description

Payroll Specialist, Salary: up to £30-40k, Based; Stockton-on-Tees. There may be some opportunity for hybrid working. *This role is working on a 9-month fixed term contract.We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join the market leading business, who are part of a global group, in the manufacturing and construction sector. We are Keen to hear from candidates with experience in a similar role with a strongunderstanding of the end-to-end payroll process and the use of specialist payroll systems.Payroll Specialist - The role:

  • Responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end payroll process.
  • Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of monthly and fortnightly payrolls, ensuring the relevant data and is processed within the payroll system accordingly whilst adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining payroll systems and records with a clear audit trail, as well as providing functional reporting to stakeholders.
  • Administer HM Revenue and Customs requirements, including P45, P46, P60, and P11D.
  • Managing the administration, submission and payment of the pension scheme
  • Analyse monthly data to ensure accuracy and run reports for HRIS system
Candidate requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a Payroll Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll process.
  • Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills for precise calculations.
  • Proficient in using payroll software and systems.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as in-house systems.
  • Ability to generate numerous payroll reports accurately and efficiently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
