Job Description

Multi Skilled Engineer opportunity! This role is site based in Stockton on Tees, incorporating a day shift only pattern.WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUAnnual salary – Completely negotiable dependent on experienceDay shift ONLY 8am-5pmMonday – Friday working hoursPension schemeFully expensed trips to Midlands 2-3 times a month to visit neighbouring site.THE BUSINESSOur client is a regional leader within the FMCG space. The businesses are encountering a period of sustained growth. This role is a newly created position.THE ROLE

  • Carrying out day-to-day activities including PPMs, reactive maintenance, and minor repairs
  • Attending site breakdowns
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Implement, document, and report on routine maintenance schedules
  • Maintaining equipment such as conveyors, mixers, chillers, packaging lines, shrink wrapping equipment, palletisers and various semi automated lines
  • Routine testing e.g., weekly fire alarm, etc. Also incorporating facilities maintenance
  • Contractor management – ensuring H&S maintained on site
  • Must have own car and be willing to travel to neighbouring site in midlands (2 or 3 times per month).
  • All expenses will be paid.
  • Support site improvement plan
THE PERSON
  • Multi-skilled (60% mechanical / 40% electrical) – must have some electrical skills.
  • Must be a Time Served Engineer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in FMCG environment
  • Can work on own initiative
  • Comfortable making decisions
  • Can do attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Excellent knowledge of current health & safety practices
