Job Description

Material Sales Coordinator Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with a key client of ours who are recruiting for a Materials Sales Coordinator on a Permanent basis.Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annumContract Type: PermanentLocation: Stockton on TeesHours: Full Time (37.5 hours)Job PurposeThe material sales coordinator reports to the Material Sales Manager and is responsible for preparation of material sales quotations and providing pricing for engineering sales quotations in-line with customer deadlines. A Key part of the role will involvegaining a technical and commercial understanding of the company’s products and will need to become a proficient user of the company’s Oracle based management information system. The material sales coordinator will generate their own quotations using the companyformat and form good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities:

  • The role will provide a link between the company’s Sales and Engineering department for high value projects, helping to ensure these projects are properly set up within the company’s management information system
  • Respond to requests for quotations and proposals sent to the company from various sources
  • Downloading of new enquiries from customer portals
  • Maintenance and populating of company quotation tracking spreadsheet
  • Preparation of commercial and technical quotation documents
  • Liaising with the team regarding pricing strategies and market intelligence
  • Liaise closely and build relationships, and portfolios, with customers and suppliers
  • Maintenance of in-house directories regarding quotations and associated documents including certification, QA and data sheets
  • Receipt of purchase order from Customers and checking order against quote, exchange rate exposure, procurement and selling, validity of supplier quotes
  • Processing of sales orders through the in-house order processing system
  • Managing the pre-qualification process with new and existing customers
Essentials:
  • Recent experience of at least 3 years working in an inside sales environment
  • Qualified to A Level in 1 or more of the following: Business, IT, Mathematics, Economics
  • A business and/ or Engineering degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Ability to work flexibly, on own or as part of a quote team on larger enquiries
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Excel and Word
  • Willingness to undertake training and development as required.
  • Knowledge of Excel Macros, Pivot Tables and Oracle JD Edwards software would be advantageous.
  • An excellent standard of customer service skills
