Job Description

Contract Manufacturing Asset Management EngineerManufacturing Stockton on Tees2 year contract offering competitive hourly rates Can you offer experience in a mechanical biased machine safety environment, working with large machineryWith the organisation currently experiencing significant change and development - bringing what is a very manual environment up to date with the implementation of new manufacturing processes.This Manufacturing Asset Management Engineer role will see you work on specific current product design changes, driven by warranty issues. You will be project focused and will drive production development of fixtures / robot tooling / robot programing.Core duties will include;

  • To look at facility assets (PUWER) and assessing how safe machines are within the facility. Complete PUWER assessments and help identify who can resolve asset issues, supervising contractors to complete works.
  • To lead CAPEX / expense projects to bring machines up to safety and compliance standards.
  • Oversee the managing of asset register and asset identification.
  • To manage critical spares analysis, obsolescence and procurement.
  • Ensure understanding of machinery within the facility ensuring technical files are completed to meet machinery directive requirements.
  • The creation / revision of planned and predictive maintenance schedules across the site.
  • Development and management of machine FMEA.
  • You will need a generalist overview of mechanical hydraulics, electrical etc and be able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
